# Agent Cat

> Agent Cat is a free macOS menu bar and Windows tray app for monitoring AI coding-agent activity, token usage, quotas, reset notifications and project usage. Its iPhone and Android companion apps show synchronized summaries, with supported watch companions.

## Product facts

- Desktop platforms: macOS 14 or later and Windows 10/11; mobile companions: iPhone and Android
- All Agent Cat features are free. AI providers' separate subscriptions and usage fees are not included; T-shirts are optional support purchases
- Primary use: ambient monitoring for local AI coding agents from the menu bar or system tray
- Supported tools include OpenAI Codex, Anthropic Claude Code, Google Gemini CLI, and OpenCode
- Visible data includes local activity state, token usage, model usage, quota information when the provider exposes it, and project-level summaries
- Codex reset credits are shown for accounts that receive them; reset notifications follow app settings and system permissions
- History compares selected periods. Project views summarize cumulative tokens supplied by connectors; these are not actual bills
- Agent Hub connects your own devices; Agent Team shares usage aggregates with invited members. Account login and synchronization are required
- Pins are collectible usage achievements, not bookmarks. Agent Store curates external developer tools rather than selling or installing them
- Agent Cat is designed for developers and technical founders who use one or more AI coding agents

## Privacy boundary

- Prompt, reply and code contents are not stored or uploaded as usage telemetry
- Local usage metadata is processed on the device
- Account synchronization is optional and connects desktop summaries with mobile and team views
